The Long Dragon is a quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. It can be a little confusing, but if you need help we’ve got you covered. Keep reading for our full walkthrough of how to complete this quest!
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Starting the Long Dragon
Before starting this quest, you will need to have unlocked Vow of Riju, Sage of Lightning after completing the Lightning Temple in Tears of the Kingdom.
To start The Long Dragon, you need to head to Thyphlo Ruins in the far north of Hyrule. The ruins are positioned directly to the north of Korok Forest, which is north of Hyrule Castle.
Once there, speak to the researcher near the Skyview Tower. He will give you a series of quests, and if you’ve completed the Gerudo section of the Regional Phenomena main quest in the game, he’ll give you The Long Dragon side adventure to complete.
Tears of the Kingdom: How to complete The Long Dragon
The Long Dragon quest in Tears of the Kingdom might be quite confusing at first. To complete it, you need to find a long dragon and shoot a lightning arrow at its tail using Riju’s power. But where is the dragon?
The map above shows you the exact position of the dragon’s head in Thyphlo Ruins. From there you should be able to see the rest of its stone body.
Follow the dragon’s body around until you reach its tail. Then, activate Riju’s power and shoot an arrow at the end of the dragon’s tail when the lightning radius is covering it.
If you did it right, you will get a chest with some loot and the quest completion. You can also get 3 other quests from the same researcher if you’ve unlocked the other three Vows from Regional Phenomena. All of these quests take place in Thyphlo Ruins, and completing all four unlocks a special reward – a Dusk Claymore.
